Audiology team
Estelle Novella
Estelle, is a qualified Speech Therapist and Audiologist. She completed her B.Communication Pathology degree at the University of Pretoria in 1995. Following this, she spent 2 years in the United Kingdom, working in the NHS public health system as a locum Audiologist. She returned to South Africa in 1998 and in January 1999 started working at Daleen de Kock’s practice in Benoni, as a Speech Therapist and Audiologist. In January 2000, she started her own practice from home, moving to the Boskruin Village Center in April 2000. From there, her practice continued to grow and currently operates from 4 practice sites.Estelle continued to practice both as a Speech therapist and Audiologist until a few years ago when she shifted her focus to Audiology. She loves doing hearing aid fittings and enjoys making hearing tests fun for children who sometimes find it a daunting task. She is currently further increasing her knowledge in terms of Auditory Processing and Tinnitus management.
She is married to Derik and has two girls. She enjoys being creative when she has time and loves singing, although a serious bout of stage fright will stop her from breaking into song should you ask!
Nerina Janse van Vuuren
Nerina, completed her B. Communication Pathology (Speech Therapy and Audiology) degree at the University of Pretoria in 1995 and has pursued the field of Audiology for the past 18 years after she took time off to raise her 2 daughters. She joined Estelle Novella Speech therapy and Audiology in January 2018 and is alternating between the Centurion and Honeydew branches. Nerina does hearing evaluations on patients of all ages, hearing aid fittings, industrial hearing assessments and has recently added auditory processing assessments to her scope of practice. She has a passion for hearing aid fittings where biology and technology merge to aid the daily functioning and resulting in the emotional wellbeing of the hearing aid wearer. When not at the office she enjoys spending time with her family and developing her creative side.
Liesbet Voigt
Liesbet Voigt completed her BA degree in Audiology at the University of Pretoria in 2019. Subsequent to her studies she worked at Moses Kotane Hospital in the North West. She strives to improve the quality of life of everyone that comes in for hearing evaluations and hearing aid fittings. Liesbet enjoys testing all ages and aims to treat each person as a whole. In her spare time she pets every animal she comes across, explores nature and enjoys both the process of baking as well as indulging.Speech therapy team
Shireen Naidoo
Shireen, is a speech and language therapist/audiologist with over 17 years of experience. Her experience is varied in different clinical settings and populations - profound and multiple disabilities, special needs with visual issues, cochlear implants, developmental and language delays, apraxia and articulation difficulties, stuttering, auditory processing and aphasia.She joined Estelle Novella Speech therapy and Audiology in Honeydew in September 2019 and have been involved in the assessment and Therapy (school setting and practice-based) of children, adolescents as well as adults. Areas that she currently assess and treat involve patients with aphasia, speech difficulties, language difficulties, learning barriers, reading problems and auditory processing.

Almeri Scott
Almeri, studied Speech Therapy and Audiology at Stellenbosch University and qualified in 1993. She joined Estelle Novella Speech Therapy and Audiology in April 2017 and is based at pre-schools and primary schools in the area. Apart from her vast knowledge of speech therapy she also has a passion for cochlear implants and together with her part-time role at our practice, also works at the Johannesburg Cochlear Implant Center.
Amahle Sindi
Amahle, qualified with a BSc in Speech Language Pathology at the University of Cape Town. She then proceeded to do her community service year at Chris Hani Baragwanath hospital. She has been a part-time Speech therapist at Estelle Novella Speech Therapy and Audiology since October 2018. She also works as part of the Speech therapy team at Philip Kushlick Special Needs School.Administrative team
Nita Lombard
Nita, grew up on a farm in the Northern Cape. She matriculated in 1986 and went to Kathu Technical College in 1987. She got married in 1990 and has two beautiful children. She moved to Johannesburg in 2005 and in 2006 she had the privilege of joining the practice of Estelle Novella, Speech Therapy and Audiology.
She enjoys ‘meeting’ existing and new clients at reception. She especially enjoys when a client is fitted for the first time with a hearing aid [s] and one sees the excitement on the client’s faces of a new ‘world’ that is about to start. It helps her realised how grateful one is to enjoy life and how precious every day’s sounds of life are.Rayhaana Naidoo
Rayhaana, is based at the Randburg Medicross branch. She has been working there for many years and is well loved and well respected by both staff and patients alike. She joined the Estelle Novella Speech Therapy and Audiology team when we moved our Boskruin rooms to the Randburg Medicross in July 2019. Rayhaana always has a smile ready for anyone crossing her path.
